Question Studio

Brellium's question studio is where you will be working with us to determine the billing and clinical requirements that our AI will be screening for. Based on our experience with leading healthcare clinics across multiple specialties, we will work with you to come up with a list of questions that work for you.

By default, each of the questions on the list will hold an equal weight. For example, if there are 11 questions in a question set, each one will be worth 9.09%. You can see the weight of each question by hovering over the severity level. In the example below, the mouse is hovering above "Normal".

Once the score falls under a certain threshold, the chart/session note will be considered failed. By default, the initial threshold is 80%.

How to customize your question thresholds

Once your questions are set up, you will be able to customize your question thresholds.

First, navigate to the top bar of the question studio:

  1. Select your relevant question set

    1. On the left hand side, select the question set that you are adjusting the questions thresholds for.

  2. On the question list, select the icon with pencil and paper.

    1. If you hover over it, it should say "Edit question"

  3. Let's focus on the "Severity" section of the questions first.

    1. You can set the severity level of each question. Here are the options:

      1. None: This question does not affect the scoring of the question set.

      2. Low: This question affects the scoring of the question set a little (weights as 0.5 questions).

      3. Normal: This is the default. This question affects the scoring on a standard level (weights as 1 question)

      4. High: This question affects the scoring a lot (weights as 3 questions)

      5. Critical: This question severely affects the scoring; failing this question will most likely make the audit fail (weights as 5 questions)

      6. Custom: You can set the weight of the question (how many questions it will count as)

      7. Points penalty: You can set a specific number of points that will be deducted if the question does not pass.

    2. After you finish, you can hover over severity level in each row on the question set to see the new percentage weight.

  4. Let's now look at the "Failure Flags" section

    1. Here, you can set an audit flag that will appear in "Audit Results" upon the failure of the question. Question flags get applied to an audit when that specific question fails. So if you have a specific review or feedback process you want to use for different requirements, question flags are the way to go. Once we set up flags, we can use them to organize audit results so that our team can access exactly what they are looking for in a flash, or set up automated emails to share targeted feedback to providers.

    2. For example, if you don't want the failure of the question to immediately fail the audit, but want to make sure that it is still amended, you can set a audit flag of "Needs Amendment".
