In this article, we’ll explain how aliases work in Brellium and show you how to de-link providers by removing incorrect aliases.
In Brellium, an alias is an alternate name that represents the same provider.
Aliases tell Brellium that different name variations all refer to one individual, even if those names appear differently across documents, emails, or systems.
Example:
John Doe
John M. Doe, BCBA
John Doe BCBA
With aliases set up, Brellium understands that all of these names belong to the same provider profile.
Without aliases, Brellium may interpret these variations as different people, which can lead to:
Duplicate provider profiles
Sessions or audits attributed to the wrong provider
Split or incomplete reporting data
How to Fix Incorrectly Linked Providers by Reviewing Aliases
Step 1: Open the People Page

In the left-hand navigation, open Control Center
Click People
Step 2: Open the Provider Profile
Find the provider who appears to have incorrect sessions, audits, or data.
Click the three-dot menu on the right.
Select View.
This opens the provider’s profile page.
Step 3: Review and Correct the Aliases Section
On the provider profile page, scroll to the Aliases section.
Here, you’ll see a list of alternate names that Brellium uses to identify this provider across documents and emails.
Click the “X” next to the incorrect alias, if you see an alias that does not belong to this provider
Once removed, Brellium will stop linking documents and sessions with that name to this provider.
